OSEE Files Petition with CA Superior Court

After participation in public forums pressing that fire evacuation safety be made a priority, OSEE reluctantly filed a petition against the City of Orinda. OSEE's members include long-serving volunteers for the City of Orinda and this step was not taken lightly. OSEE's members also include individuals who have championed increased housing and affordable housing downtown. However, in the face of conflicting goals of housing and fire safety, we believe that a thorough evaluation of the impacts of increased housing downtown on emergency evacuation is necessary.
